Our Space
We are delighted to announce that we have purchased and secured funding to restore the historic Hammock Consolidated School, originally built as a schoolhouse in 1940.
Our restoration plans include a new roof, structural floor replacement, updated flooring throughout, wall renovations with fresh paint, power washing and exterior painting, landscaping, a gravel parking lot, privacy fencing, structural repairs, and much more.
Once complete, students will enjoy an open, cozy learning environment designed for project-based learning. The space will feature dedicated areas for art, reading, technology, and science. Instead of traditional classrooms, students will move freely throughout the school, engaging in different spaces based on their learning needs and interests.
Beyond the classroom, students will have access to outdoor learning areas, including a fenced-in space directly connected to the school and a scenic trail leading into a forested area, maintained by Roots Academy for educational exploration.
