Philosophy
At Roots Academy, we’re transforming education into an adventure of discovery and academic excellence. We combine dynamic, hands-on learning—where children explore, question, and create—curriculum that guarantees a quality education in math and language arts. We also explore the sciences through our afternoon project learning stations.
Our dynamic approach fuels natural curiosity while sharpening problem-solving skills in real-world contexts. Whether students are uncovering the science behind a butterfly’s wings, engineering a bridge from found materials, or solving real-world math puzzles outdoors, they engage in deep, meaningful experiences that build critical skills. With small class sizes and a focus on mastery over memorization, we provide a balanced approach where creativity meets excellence, ensuring every child not only learns but truly thrives.

Small Class Sizes
Our small class sizes ensure that each child receives the individual attention they need to succeed. With a team of dedicated educators, we provide personalized learning paths that support every child's growth and success.
Mastery-Based Academic Advancement
At Roots, all core instruction—reading, writing, and math—is taught using a carefully selected blend of curriculum. We incorporate a blend of ELA instruction based on Florida B.E.S.T standards and written by our Curriculum Designer to ensure a personalized approach. We also use Singapore Math along with supplimentation of our own in-house materials (created by a mastery level curriculum designer) to fill the gaps—because no one-size-fits-all program truly exists.
With intentionally small group sizes, we’re able to support each child at their own pace—making sure they truly master each concept before moving on. No rushing, no pressure—just the right support at the right time.
Project Based, Nature Infused, Child Led
In addition to core learning skills, our students engage in project based learning. Students have access beautiful outdoor spaces which are incorporated into daily learning. Whether they are investigating ecosystems, building structures, or designing experiments, the natural world becomes an extension of the classroom.
